TRICITY GDANSK, GDYNIA, SOPOT

Day 1 ARRIVAL, WARSAW OR GDANSK

Airport pick-up, transfer to hotel in Gdansk.
In the evening meeting with the pilot of the group.
Welcome dinner.

Day 2 GDANSK

Breakfast.
Drive to Old Town of Gdansk where we can visit many relicts. Gdansk’s Old Town is one of the most beautiful in Europe. There’s a lot of magnificent churches, e.g. St. Katarzyna’s or St. Jacob’s. The other interesting antique building is Old Town Town Hall, which was built over 100 years – from 1379 to 1492. Town hall has a 80 meter tower on which stands a metal, gold-plated statue of King Sigimund Agustus ( Zygmunt August ). Today it houses a Historical Museum of City of Gdansk. We will also see Mały Młyn ans Wielki Młyn, which were built by Teutonic Knights in the mid-fourteenth century on Radunia and Granary ( Radunia i Spichlerz ) canals. At the Old Town of Gdansk are located also monuments of the Defenders of the Polish Post and King John III Sobieski
Free time for walk around the Old Town and shopping – there are many jewelry stores offering jewelry made of amber.
Drive to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 GDANSK, GDYNIA, SOPOT

Breakfast.
Drive towards Gdynia and Sopot. On the way stop at the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard and by the Shipyard Gate. Transfer to Monument of the Defenders of the Coast on Westerplatte – place has become a symbolic beginning of World War II and Polish resistance against German aggression. Drive to Oliwa Cathedral for the organ concert.
At noon passing to Gdynia – sightseeing Gdynia Aquarium, Naval Museum in Gdynia ( February 24, 1960 ORP Burza has become part of the institution. ORP Burza because of its bad technical condition was intended for scrap, and the function of the ship-museum took over the decommissioned Navy ORP Błyskawica ), Dar Pomorza ( Polish full-rigged sailing ship built in 1909 which is preserved in Gdynia as a museum ship), and then heading towards Sopot – walk along the pier, one of the oldest attraction of Sopot. Pier in Sopot is among the longest wooden moth in Europe – its length is 511,5 m and 10 m wide.
In the afternoon drive to hotel in Gdansk for dinner and overnight.
